As I reflect on my journey as a teacher, I recognize significant growth and development since I began teaching. Initially, I relied heavily on traditional teaching methods, but over time, I have explored innovative approaches such as Active Learning, the Flipped Classroom, and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). I have become more adept at designing engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Managing unruly students was a challenge at first; however, I have learned effective strategies for maintaining discipline while fostering a positive classroom environment. Group work has been instrumental in keeping students engaged and promoting collaboration. I have learned to adapt my teaching style according to context, student needs and available resources, addressing unexpected situations effectively, I use digital resources, and online books to enhance learning I make assessments more engaging. Regular self-reflection has become a habit, adjusting my practices based on these reflections for continuous improvement. Teaching in a Catholic institution has exposed me to diverse cultural contexts, enhancing my cultural sensitivity and allowing me to better connect with students.
